The 2nd Annual Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt & NEW Closing Day IPA offer the best of TBC
TELLURIDE, CO (March 30, 2023) - Telluride Brewing Co is stoked to celebrate an incredible 50th ski season at Telluride Ski Resort with their first ever Closing Day IPA and Second Annual Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt. Aimed at engaging the Telluride community and fueling the fun, Telluride Brewing has collaborated with Telluride Ski Resort, Wagner Custom Skis, and local artist Brandon Berkel to make it all happen.
A West Coast IPA fermented with Thiolized yeast, Closing Day IPA commemorates a Telluride ski season tradition with super fruit flavor and aromas, 7.2% ABV, and funky collage style art from the creative mind of Berkel. Originally inspired by his position with Colorado Team Title, he wanted to bring his creativity to closings and add an element of fun to the home buying process through his Closing Day collage.
“This art is my love letter to the community. I can’t wait to see it in everyone's hands,” explains Brandon Berkel, the artist behind Telluride Brewing’s Closing Day IPA. “This season’s snow has been absolutely amazing and the locals have been working hard to make this little town thrive.”
Available in 16 oz cans and on tap at Telluride Brewing’s Taproom and Brewpub, and in cans at Gorrono and other locations around town, Closing Day IPA pairs perfectly with the weekend’s festivities, starting with the fan-favorite Second Annual Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt.
Taking place on Saturday, April 1st, the Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt features over 40 new & hilarious beer-fueled riddles, challenges, and trivia that will send participants all over the mountain for a chance to win awesome prizes, drink great beer, and have fun with friends!
“We can’t wait to kick off the scavenger hunt again and look forward to seeing the incredible costumes and creativity that this community brings to the table this year,” says Tommy Thacher, President and Co-Founder of Telluride Brewing Co. “We couldn’t do it without Wagner and Telluride Ski Resort, who have not only provided us with great prizes for our winning teams, but they’ve also come up with their own exciting challenges to add to the fun!”
From 11am to 3pm, teams will disperse all over the mountain looking for clues, completing missions, and documenting it all along the way. Once the points are totaled and winners decided, Happy Hour will commence between 3pm and 4 pm with free beer, prizes, and good times aplenty.
Registration for the event is available online at telluridebrewingco.com/scavenger-hunt or in-person on the day of the event at 10am for groups of 1 to 4 people, 21 years of age or older. The registration table will be under the iconic navy blue Telluride Brewing Co tent in the Mountain Village Core. The cost to participate is $25/person (cash & credit cards accepted) and includes a free beer during happy hour and winner announcement.
